MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

To preserve the performance and appearance of your barbecue, it is recommended to clean it after each use.

External cleaning

To maintain the appearance and durability of your barbecue, regularly clean the external surfaces to remove splashes, food residues and grease marks. Only use maintenance products suitable for stainless steel and avoid aggressive or highly abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.

In case of embedded residues, prefer a non-metallic pad with a fine or medium grain combined with a special stainless steel cleaner. This method effectively removes deposits while limiting the accumulation of greasy particles in the grain of the stainless steel, which may promote the appearance of corrosion marks.

Before replacing the cover or protective lid, always ensure that all surfaces are perfectly dry. Never cover a still damp appliance to avoid marks, premature oxidation, and moisture retention.

Grease collector tray

The grease recovery tray must be cleaned after each use to prevent any accumulation of flammable residues. Insufficient maintenance of this area can increase the risk of fire during subsequent uses.

Before any intervention, ensure that the barbecue is completely cooled down. Then remove the tray by gently sliding it outwards until it is fully extracted.

Clean the tray using soapy hot water to effectively remove fats and cooking residues. Once cleaning is complete, rinse and thoroughly dry the components before replacing the tray, ensuring it is correctly positioned in its housing.

If you are using an oven cleaning product, strictly follow the manufacturer's recommendations. Some products may be aggressive towards stainless steel and may alter its appearance or finish when used improperly.

Cleaning ceramic infrared burners

Ceramic infrared burners require regular maintenance to preserve their cooking performance and ensure even heat distribution. Their ceramic surface is more fragile than that of a traditional burner, so it must be handled with care.

Before any intervention

  • Ensure that the barbecue is completely cool.
  • Turn off the gas supply.
  • Remove the cooking grates as well as the components that allow access to the infrared burners.

Cleaning the burners

  • Visually inspect the ceramic surface to ensure that no grease residue, charred food, or deposits are blocking the micro-holes of the burner.
  • Gently remove any residues using a soft brush or low-pressure compressed air.
  • If necessary, operate the burner at maximum power for a few minutes to burn off any superficial residues before it cools completely.
  • Check that the air inlets and gas supply ducts are clean and free from any obstructions.

Caution: Never use a metal brush, sharp object, or tool that could damage the ceramic plate. Do not attempt to drill or enlarge the holes of the burner.

Inspection and reassembly

  • Regularly check the condition of the ceramic. In case of cracks, significant chipping, or visible deterioration, immediately cease use of the burner and replace it.
  • After cleaning, carefully reassemble each component, ensuring that the burner is perfectly positioned on its gas supply system.
  • Check that all components are securely fastened before any recommissioning.

Important: A misaligned or improperly connected burner can lead to poor combustion, irregular flames, or dangerous situations that may cause injury and property damage.

Maintenance advice

To maintain the performance of ceramic infrared burners, avoid excessive grease buildup and carry out regular visual inspections. Preventive maintenance helps ensure rapid heating, effective infrared radiation, and even cooking across the entire heating surface.

GAS LEAK CHECK

The detection and repair of a gas leak must only be carried out by a qualified professional. Never attempt to intervene yourself on a system that poses a leak risk.

Before each use of the barbecue, systematically perform a leak test of the entire gas circuit, including valves, fittings, pipes, hoses, and connections. The barbecue must never be used without prior verification of these components.

Never use a naked flame to search for a gas leak. This practice poses an immediate risk of fire, explosion, and serious injury. To check the tightness of the installation, only use a soapy water solution in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

During inspection operations, do not smoke and keep all sources of ignition, flame, spark, or devices that could ignite the gas away. Leak tests should always be conducted outdoors and in a well-ventilated area.

The presence of bubbles indicates a gas leak.
7In case of a leak, immediately turn off the gas supply.Do not attempt to light the barbecue.
8Tighten the fittings or replace defective parts with approved parts.Never repair a gas bottle valve.
9Repeat the test after intervention. No bubbles should appear.
10If the leak persists, disconnect the bottle and contact a qualified professional.

WARNING: Never use a naked flame, match, lighter or any other ignition source to search for a gas leak. This practice can cause fire, explosion or serious injury.

The diagram shown below is provided as an example to illustrate what a leak looks like during a soapy water test. The indicated points do not represent all areas to be checked. Any connection in the gas circuit, including fittings, valves, hoses, regulators and junctions, must undergo a complete leak test before use.

CLEANING OF GRILLS AND TRAYS

To maintain cooking performance and limit grease buildup, it is recommended to clean the grills, heat diffusers, and flame guards after each use.

  1. Close the lid and then operate the main burners at maximum power for 10 to 15 minutes. This process allows food residues and grease deposits on the components to be carbonised.

  2. After the barbecue has completely cooled down, clean the various components using a stainless steel brush to remove any remaining carbonised residues.

  3. Take this opportunity to inspect the burners and check that the combustion ports are not blocked. If necessary, gently clear the openings using a suitable small metal tool.

  4. Also check that the air inlets of the burners are clean and free from any deposits that could disrupt gas flow or combustion quality.

  5. In case of internal blockage, use a flexible wire or a flue cleaner to remove accumulated residues inside the burner.

Maintenance tip: Regular cleaning ensures even cooking, limits flare-ups due to excess grease, and helps prolong the life of your barbecue.

IGNITION POWER SUPPLY

Insert a battery AA 1.5 V in the ignition module located under the barbecue chassis. This battery powers the electronic ignition system and allows the generation of the spark necessary for igniting the burners.

When installing, be sure to respect the polarity indicated inside the compartment to ensure the proper functioning of the ignition system.
