- Ceramic baking Stone and heat deflector for cooking and pizzas - Ø36cm

Transform your kamado, barbecue or fire pit into a true pizza oven with this 36 cm refractory ceramic pizza stone, specially designed to store a large amount of heat and then gradually release it to achieve even cooking, perfectly crisped crusts, and a crunchy texture comparable to that obtained in traditional pizza ovens. Versatile and high-performing, this cooking stone not only allows you to perfect your homemade pizzas but also to prepare artisanal bread, focaccias, naans, flatbreads, savoury or sweet tarts, and many other recipes requiring consistent and controlled high-temperature cooking.
A REFRACTORY STONE THAT REPRODUCES THE CONDITIONS OF A TRUE PIZZA OVEN
Thanks to its black glazed refractory ceramic construction, this pizza stone effectively absorbs and stores thermal energy before evenly distributing it across its entire surface, allowing for faster cooking of the dough, eliminating excess moisture, and achieving a perfectly balanced cooking between the bottom and top of the preparation. This uniform heat distribution promotes the creation of crispy pizzas, generously golden crusted breads, and delicious dishes whose cooking remains consistent even at very high temperatures.
COOKING STONE AND KAMADO DEFLECTOR: A 2 IN 1 ACCESSORY TO MULTIPLY COOKING POSSIBILITIES
This kamado cooking stone is not limited to pizza preparation as it can also be used as a heat deflector for kamado, thus offering a particularly practical solution for indirect cooking enthusiasts wishing to fully exploit the capabilities of their device. Placed between the heat source and the food, it acts as a thermal barrier that limits direct radiation from the embers and promotes a more uniform circulation of heat within the cooking chamber.
IDEAL FOR INDIRECT COOKING AND LOW TEMPERATURE RECIPES
Used as a kamado deflector, this stone allows for long and controlled cooking for smoked meats, ribs, whole poultry, fish, or stews, while limiting the risk of burning associated with direct exposure to flames or embers. Thanks to its high thermal inertia, it helps maintain a stable temperature throughout the chamber, significantly improving the consistency of results and the ease of use during prolonged cooking.
A PIZZA STONE COMPATIBLE WITH KAMADOS, FIRE PITS, BARBECUES AND OVENS
With its diameter of 36 cm and robust design, this pizza stone for barbecue and kamado adapts to many cooking configurations and is an essential accessory for enthusiasts of wood, charcoal or gas cooking. It can be used in both a domestic oven and in a kamado, a fire pit or a barbecue equipped with a suitable grill, thus allowing you to enjoy the benefits of a true refractory stone regardless of the cooking solution used.
A ENAMELLED SURFACE THAT MAKES DAILY MAINTENANCE EASIER
The black enamelled finish offers a particularly durable and easy-to-clean surface, limiting the adherence of food residues while improving the stone's durability over time. This feature helps maintain optimal cooking performance while simplifying maintenance after each use, even when the stone is regularly exposed to very high temperatures.

PREHEATING: A CRUCIAL STEP FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE
As in a professional pizza oven, preheating the stone is essential to achieve even cooking and to sustainably preserve the ceramic. An insufficiently heated stone will not be able to properly radiate heat and risks producing pizzas with a soft or undercooked base.
- Always place the stone in the oven, barbecue, kamado, or fire pit before the temperature rises
- Allow the stone to gradually heat up with the cooking appliance
- Plan for a minimum preheating time of 20 to 30 minutes
- For pizza, a stone temperature between 250°C and 350°C is recommended
- For bread and pastries, a temperature between 220°C and 250°C is ideal
- For indirect cooking in a kamado, preheat gradually before placing the food
IMPORTANT: The thicker the stone and the larger the appliance, the longer the preheating time may need to be extended to ensure that the heat penetrates perfectly to the core of the ceramic.
TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL PIZZAS
- Wait for the stone to be perfectly hot before placing your pizza in the oven
- Use a lightly floured pizza peel to facilitate the transfer
- Avoid excessively wet doughs that may stick to the surface
- Rotate the pizza during cooking if your appliance has a hotter area
- Carefully monitor the first cooks to adjust the cooking time to your equipment
- Do not overload your pizza with toppings to preserve the crispness of the base
USAGE AS A HEAT DEFLECTOR IN A KAMADO
The stone can also be used as a heat deflector to turn your kamado into a true indirect cooking oven.
- Position the stone between the coals and the cooking grate
- Leave enough space around the stone to allow for the circulation of hot air
- Keep the lid closed as much as possible to maintain a stable temperature
- Use a drip tray for long cooks of fatty meats
- Ideal for indirect cooking between 100°C and 180°C
- Perfect for ribs, pulled pork, brisket, poultry, fish, and roasts
COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID
Ceramics are very heat resistant but, like any technical material, they must be used correctly to ensure their longevity.
- Never place a cold stone in a device that is already at very high temperature
- Never place a hot stone on a cold or damp surface
- Never pour cold water on a still hot stone
- Never immerse the hot stone in water
- Avoid sudden temperature changes
- Do not use the stone if it has a significant crack
- Avoid mechanical shocks, drops, and hits on the edges
- Do not use aggressive metal tools for cleaning
HOW TO AVOID BREAKING THE STONE?
The main causes of breakage are generally related to thermal shocks or mechanical shocks. To sustainably preserve your stone:
- Always gradually increase the temperature
- Allow to cool naturally after use
- Wait for complete cooling before moving the stone
- Handle it with care when storing
- Store it in a dry place and protected from shocks
- Never place a stone coming from a cold environment directly into a very hot appliance
- Avoid any direct contact with water when the stone is still hot
NOTE: Over time, slight cooking marks, discolourations or superficial micro-cracks may appear. These marks are normal on accessories subjected to high temperatures and generally do not affect the performance or safety of the product.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Always allow the stone to cool completely before cleaning
- Clean with a soft sponge and warm water
- Avoid abrasive products and harsh detergents
- Remove food residues with a non-metallic spatula if necessary
- Dry thoroughly before storing
- Keep the stone in a clean and dry place
A gradual preheating, appropriate use, and the absence of thermal shock are the keys to enjoying your cooking stone for many years, whether in an oven, a barbecue, a kamado, or a fire pit.
