- Ceramic baking stone and pizza deflector - Ø30cm

Offer new possibilities to your oven, barbecue, kamado or fire pit with this black enamelled ceramic baking stone. A true multifunctional accessory, it allows you to make crispy pizzas, artisanal breads, tarte flambée, focaccias and many other recipes requiring even cooking at high temperatures. Made from high-density ceramic, this stone accumulates heat and then gradually releases it to replicate the performance of a traditional oven floor. Its excellent thermal inertia allows for even cooking, more authentic flavours, and results worthy of the best pizzerias. Versatile, it can also be used as a heat deflector in a kamado for low-temperature indirect cooking. An essential accessory for all lovers of cooking over wood, charcoal or gas.
ACHIEVE CRISPY PIZZAS LIKE IN A PROFESSIONAL PIZZA OVEN
The quality of a pizza depends primarily on the heat distributed under the dough. Thanks to its ability to store a significant amount of thermal energy, this stone allows for instant searing of the dough and removes excess moisture. The result is a crispy base, even cooking, and perfectly cooked toppings. Used in a traditional oven, a pizza oven, a barbecue, or a kamado, it significantly enhances cooking performance and allows for the reproduction of conditions found in professional ovens. This ceramic stone is perfectly suited for making Neapolitan and artisanal pizzas, tarte flambées, focaccias, homemade bread, traditional baguettes, pastries, and desserts, providing consistent cooking and unparalleled crispiness to all your preparations.
COMPATIBLE WITH OVENS, BARBECUES, KAMADOS AND BRAZIER
Thanks to its dimensions of 30 x 30 cm and its high thermal resistance, this baking stone can be used in many cooking appliances.
IN A TRADITIONAL OVEN
Transform your home oven into a true baker's or pizzaiolo's oven. The stone stores heat and significantly improves the crispiness of pizzas, bread, and pastries.
IN A CHARCOAL OR GAS BARBECUE
Enjoy the incomparable flavours of barbecue cooking while benefiting from perfectly even stone cooking. The combination of radiant heat and heat stored in the ceramic allows for exceptional results.
IN A KAMADO
The kamado is the ideal environment to fully exploit the qualities of this stone. It allows for both very high-temperature cooking for pizzas and indirect cooking when used as a deflector.
ON A BRAZIER
Installed on a suitable grill, it allows for cooking pizzas, flatbreads and other preparations directly over a wood fire in a friendly and authentic atmosphere.
USE AS A HEAT DEFLECTOR FOR KAMADO
This stone is not limited to cooking pizzas. It can also be used as a heat deflector to transform your kamado into a true indirect cooking oven. Placed between the fire and the food, it blocks the direct heat from the coals and allows for even circulation of hot air inside the kamado. This configuration is ideal for long and low-temperature cooking. Used as a heat deflector in a kamado, this stone is perfect for making pulled pork, ribs, brisket, whole chickens, roasts, fish and grilled vegetables. It promotes even indirect cooking at low temperatures, ideal for recipes requiring several hours of cooking while preserving the moisture, flavours and tenderness of the food. Its ability to store and gradually diffuse heat helps maintain a stable temperature for several hours, an essential element for successful "low & slow" cooking.
HIGH-END BLACK ENAMEL COATING
Its black enamel finish adds an elegant touch while improving its resistance to moisture, stains and food residues. Easy to maintain, it sustainably retains its aesthetics and performance, even after many high-temperature uses.

PREHEATING: A CRUCIAL STEP FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE
Like in a professional pizza oven, preheating the stone is essential to achieve even cooking and to sustainably preserve the ceramic. A stone that is insufficiently heated will not be able to properly radiate heat and risks producing pizzas with a soft or undercooked base.
- Always place the stone in the oven, barbecue, kamado or fire pit before the temperature rises
- Allow the stone to gradually heat up with the cooking device
- Allow a minimum preheating time of 20 to 30 minutes
- For pizza, a stone temperature between 250°C and 350°C is recommended
- For bread and pastries, a temperature between 220°C and 250°C is ideal
- For indirect cooking in a kamado, gradually preheat before placing the food
IMPORTANT: The thicker the stone and the larger the device, the longer the preheating time may be extended to ensure that the heat penetrates perfectly to the core of the ceramic.
TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL PIZZAS
- Wait for the stone to be perfectly hot before putting your pizza in the oven
- Use a lightly floured pizza peel to facilitate the transfer
- Avoid excessively wet doughs that may stick to the surface
- Rotate the pizza during cooking if your appliance has a hotter area
- Carefully monitor the first cooks to adjust the cooking time to your equipment
- Do not overload your pizza with toppings to preserve the crispness of the base
USING AS A HEAT DEFLECTOR IN A KAMADO
The stone can also be used as a heat deflector to transform your kamado into a true indirect cooking oven.
- Position the stone between the embers and the cooking grill
- Leave enough space around the stone to allow for hot air circulation
- Keep the lid closed as much as possible to maintain a stable temperature
- Use a drip tray for long cooks of fatty meats
- Ideal for indirect cooking between 100°C and 180°C
- Perfect for ribs, pulled pork, brisket, poultry, fish, and roasts
COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID
Ceramic is very heat resistant but, like any technical material, it must be used correctly to ensure its longevity.
- Never place a cold stone in an appliance that is already at very high temperature
- Never place a hot stone on a cold or damp surface
- Never pour cold water on a still hot stone
- Never immerse the hot stone in water
- Avoid sudden temperature changes
- Do not use the stone if it has a significant crack
- Avoid mechanical shocks, drops, and hits on the edges
- Do not use aggressive metal tools for cleaning
HOW TO AVOID BREAKING THE STONE?
The main causes of breakage are generally related to thermal shocks or mechanical shocks. To sustainably preserve your stone:
- Always gradually increase the temperature
- Allow to cool naturally after use
- Wait for complete cooling before moving the stone
- Handle it carefully when storing
- Store it in a dry place and protected from shocks
- Never place a stone coming from a cold environment directly into a very hot appliance
- Avoid any direct contact with water when the stone is still hot
NOTE: Over time, slight cooking marks, discolouration or superficial micro-cracks may appear. These marks are normal on accessories subjected to high temperatures and generally do not affect the performance or safety of the product.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Always allow the stone to cool completely before cleaning
- Clean with a soft sponge and warm water
- Avoid abrasive products and harsh detergents
- Remove food residues with a non-metallic spatula if necessary
- Dry thoroughly before storing
- Keep the stone in a clean and dry place
A gradual preheating, appropriate use, and the absence of thermal shock are the keys to enjoying your cooking stone for many years, whether in an oven, a barbecue, a kamado, or a fire pit.
