⚠️ Note for coastal areas: even if they are made with galvanized steel and thermolacquered supports, black fire pits are not the most suitable by the sea. The salty air accelerates their corrosion, even with treatment. Plan for regular maintenance or opt for Corten steel.

Space size: If you have a large outdoor space, a 98cm fire pit might be more suitable. It will be larger and offer better heat distribution. For a smaller space, an 82cm model might be more appropriate to avoid clutter.
Number of people: In terms of cooking capacity, it all depends on what you're cooking and your cooking skills. If you want to gather around the fire pit with several people, the 82cm model can accommodate 6-8 people, while the 98cm model can accommodate 10-12 people.
Heat output: A larger fire pit, like the 98cm model, will generally give off more heat, which can be useful if you want to heat a larger area.
Wood or charcoal consumption: A larger fire pit will require more fuel to operate optimally. If you prefer more moderate consumption, a smaller fire pit might be better. Log size: the 82 and 98 diameters both allow the use of standard size logs of 30cm or 50cm.
If you have a large space and plan to host groups of several people, a 98cm model would probably be more suitable. If you're looking for something more compact or fuel-efficient, opt for an 82cm model.
Quick and easy steps for maintaining and extending the life of your plancha grill:
The TRIO plancha is quick to clean: while the fire is still lit, scrape off food residue with the professional spatula and then push it into the center of the firebox so that it is burned off by the heat.
To preserve your plancha for many years, season it regularly by applying vegetable oil or beeswax before and after each use to prevent corrosion.
No ash drawer for greater longevity! Ashes are removed with a shovel or an ash vacuum. Due to the inconvenience they cause, we have eliminated the need for an ash drawer.
Don't worry about rain! Water drains naturally through the double wall, following the same path as rising air.
A fire pit with a griddle combines the advantages of a traditional fire pit with those of a griddle cooking surface, making it a versatile piece of outdoor equipment.

Seasoning your fire pit's griddle creates a protective, non-stick layer and reduces the risk of rust. This seasoning process occurs naturally with repeated use, thanks to the buildup of cooking fats and oils. The more you use your griddle, the more it will season with a thin layer of grease.
You can also choose to speed up the process by seasoning it as soon as you receive your fire pit.
The first use of the TRIO is a crucial step.
There are several techniques to light a fire in your brazier. It is up to you to choose the one you prefer. We recommend the so-called « tipi » technique. It is a small basic technique, which consists in reproducing the construction of an Indian tent with the wood you have. To light a fire according to the technique known as « tipi » follow the following steps: 1/ Make paper balls and place them in the bottom of the fireplace. 2/ Place firewood around the paper balls to form a small teepee. 3/ Turn on the paper and wait for the firewood to catch fire. 4/ Add larger pieces of wood. Do not add them too quickly because a fire needs oxygen to burn.
The rise in temperature must be done gradually, in particular to avoid damaging certain steel parts and the welds. When making your brazier, the plancha is pressed towards the center of the fireplace to allow the grease to flow directly to the fire and not onto the floor.
It is important that you maintain a gradual temperature rise for at least 60 minutes before starting to have a cooking temperature. Otherwise, it could be damaged and deformed.
Use well-dried oak or beech.
Be careful when using certain types of wood, such as tropical hardwoods. These woods generate too much heat, which can cause the griddle to warp.
It is your responsibility to research the origin of the wood you use and its suitability for cooking to avoid endangering your health.
We do not recommend using charcoal, as it will not generate enough heat to warm the griddle to the correct temperature. If you wish to use charcoal, it is best to combine it with wood to preheat the fire pit or to add more fuel to the fire and maintain a good bed of embers.
