A smoker box is an accessory designed to add smoky flavors to food cooked on a barbecue, grill, or kamado. It holds wood chips, food-grade pellets, or wood dust, which produce aromatic smoke during closed-lid cooking and infuse food with rich, authentic barbecue flavor.

It allows you to turn a gas or charcoal barbecue into a true smoker without the need for additional equipment. The aromatic smoke infuses meat, fish, poultry, and vegetables, creating an authentic wood-smoked flavor and enhancing every outdoor cooking experience.

It is compatible with:
- charcoal barbecues (placed directly on the charcoal or embers),
- gas barbecues (placed on the cooking grate or on the burner heat deflectors/flavorizer bars).
The smoker box should be used exclusively with aromatic wood chips (apple, hickory, oak, beech, and more), wood dust, or food-grade smoking pellets. These natural smoking materials generate flavorful smoke that enhances meat, fish, poultry, vegetables, and other barbecue recipes with rich, authentic wood-fired aromas.
Yes, it is recommended to soak the wood chips in water for about 20 minutes before placing them in the smoker box. This helps the chips smolder more slowly and produces a longer-lasting, more consistent release of smoke during cooking.
A wide variety of foods can be smoked, including:
- meat (pork, chicken, beef, turkey),
- fish (salmon, mackerel),
- vegetables,
- cheese for certain light smoking applications.
(smoking can enhance virtually any type of food, depending on the wood chips selected)
The smoker box is made from high-quality stainless steel, specifically designed to withstand the high temperatures generated by gas grills, charcoal barbecues, and kamado cookers. Its durable construction ensures excellent heat resistance, long-lasting performance, and reliable smoke production, even during intensive use.
