The classic and essential barbecued camembert kamado !
The kamado is ideal for grilling a camembert as it combines controlled heat, smoky flavour, and perfect texture, making this dish even more indulgent and original.

Ingredients

  • 1 camembert or 1 Mont d'Or or any other hard cheese (with its wooden box)
  • Honey 
  • Thyme & rosemary 
  • Walnuts 
  • Green salad  


The steps

Etape 1 :   allumez le kamado

Heat your kamado by placing charcoal in the bottom and lighting it. Once a layer of embers has formed and the temperature is 180°, you know your kamado barbecue is ready to use. Set up the Split & Mix with the heat deflectors to cook "indirectly". 

Step 2 : prepare the camembert

Sortez le camembert du plastique et de sa boite. Incisez le camembert en réalisant une croix au centre du camembert. Mettez un peu de miel et déposer des branches de thym et romarin frais. Remettez le camembert dans sa boite et emballez le dans du papier de boucher.

Etape 3 :  cuisez le camembert 

Positionnez pendant 20 minutes en le retournant de temps en temps à l’aide de la pince barbecue. Pour un vacherin mont d’or ou tout autre fromage à croûte cuisez 35 minutes. Une fois le temps écoulé, sortez le camembert du kamado, positionnez le dans un plat sans le papier et la boite en bois.  

Step 4 : serve the camembert  

With bread, salad, or potatoes, enjoy!
